I had an evening rain-free last night so decided to blow the debris from our recent windstorm off the driveway and decks while I had a little extra daylight. I hurried home from work, moved the cars out of our driveway, changed clothes and got the leaf blower ready to go. I thought I was so smart and could get through all that I planned to do. Someone should hit me over the head when I think I'm smart. I prove myself wrong every time.
I began to blow off the front deck and I notice that the blower is getting kind of sluggish and slowing down. Not ten minutes into the job it sputters, smokes and just stops. Tweet, blink, tweet! I don't know how, but I BURNT up the leaf blower. Right in the middle of this job. ARGHH! So I spent the next two hours sweeping decks and around our pool with a broom until it became too dark to see.
Because I am taking care of little people from tonight through next Wednesday the job will just have to wait to be finished. That and of course I will be buying a new leaf blower. That thing is a life saver for me. Sorry farmer but I must spend money and I WILL be purchasing a GOOD one. Heh!
So this one of the blocks I have been working on for a gift shop here in my area. The owner loves birds. I will add more photos of the others on another post later.
Don't you just love this picture of the babies in the nest. Makes me smile.
Happy birthday to my sweet daughter, Kelli (today she turns 26) and a happy spring everyone!
