Where I Am Right Now

There are some who have asked where I am lately. I admit that I have not the heart to write just now. Our family has suffered a terrible tragedy and I simply can't find a way to make the words jump from my swirling mind to the page.

Two of my husbands brothers were killed in a fishing accident the first of August in Canada.  What was to be a fun fishing trip turned into a horrible nightmare for the family who is very close.  These two were more than my brothers-in-law but I considered them to be my brothers.  We are all heartbroken but trying to put one foot in front of the other each day.  There are many complications that I won't go into now in regard to this event but I will just say that we have many more long weeks ahead trying to unravel some issues.  We will be celebrating their lives this coming Saturday.

Oh honey! I'm so sorry for your whole family. I can't imagine the pain everyone is in. Thank you for the update and I know you won't mind if I put y'all on the prayer list.
((hugs)) and hoping for quick resolutions to whatever the issues are.

Having never suffered a tragedy of this magnitude I can only guess at how shell-shocked you all are. My prayers (and hugs and tears) are added to CeeCee's.

I am so very sorry for you, for your husband and for your family. Oh that I could express words of comfort to even give you a degree of relief from everything you must be going through. I know this for sure: you are strong. I don't know why you have such big tests in this life but you handle them with courage and dignity and my heart goes out to you. Wishing you many happy memories and only good things from now on!

Oh Vonda, I just realized that while in the midst of this horrible event, that it was the anniversary of Kyla's death.
I put y'all on the prayer list at church. I hope that was okay.

Vonda, don't publish this in your comment section unless you want to.

I've just been so worried about your heart, and how you're doing. I Googled the accident and see now why the devastation is so far reaching.

My mother's best friend lost her husband in a boating accident on the headwaters of the Missouri river. They found his boat (crashed), with a his lifejacket on board. They didn't find his body for nearly a month. Life insurance wouldn't pay because he wasn't wearing his lifejacket. They suspected he died of a heart attack while still on the boat, but they couldn't prove it.
The not-knowing was the very most difficult part. I don't know how you and your family are holding up, but I've got you all in my prayers.
