Trickery

Just when I thought the sun was going to stay a while and the blooms could continue to come out Mother Nature showed me who was boss. I sit here with a sick baby listening to the rain and wind.

This native dogwood is in full bloom surrounded by fir trees. The branches seem to stretch so very far just to drink in the little bit of morning light.

Perhaps the sun will make an appearance tomorrow. I hope you all had a very lovely May Day.

On days like that, it's best to cuddle up inside and enjoy a hot beverage and a good book. Hope the sick tyke gets better soon.

Our dogwoods are beginning to bloom too. I have a favourite street that's lined with them and it's magnificent to behold when they're all in bloom.

*blessings*

I'm at the end of a semester, so I haven't been able to visit in quite a while. I just wanted to say that I absolutely ADORE YOUR NEW LOOK!!! I'm sorry...was I yelling?

Oh...sorry about the sick baby. No fun. Rainy, rainy Oregon...it would be nice for a patch of dry. I have noticed, though, that the temps aren't dipping as low as they have been..all this next week, it's not supposed to get colder than 40ish overnight. This is a very good sign!

Leave it to the weather to play tricks on us. We have had wind and rain all weekend!

So sorry a little one is sick. I hope they are better soon.

Lovely tulips...they are my favorites!

We did have a wonderful May Day. We were at the Little Sahara State Park in Oklahoma. It wasn't sunny but the weather was perfect for dune buggies.

We've been tricked as well. Actually, had a couple days of 70's and 80. Now it is 36 and spitting snow. Ug! I so want to work outside, but it is cold and windy and the little ones are sick. I feel your pain.
