Oh Happy Day!!!

The girls are laying again. Last week the number of eggs went from two or three to twelve. The days are lengthening and the goods are coming. A sure sign that spring isn't far away.

Look at this frosty morning sunrise. Freezing nights and sunny, crisp days. I like this so much better than the drizzly gray days we usually have in the winter.

I'm off to work. Have a wonderful day and stay warm.

Amazing what a little extra daylight will do for chickens and our souls. I'm enjoying every extra minute of it. Come on, spring!

Love the pretty sunset-but love the eggs more. I've been trying to convince my husband-if we had chickens we wouldn't have to buy eggs!

Congrats on your beautiful orbs. How wonderful when our chickens get regular wih egg laying again.
Mine our still in molt, so we only get between 1-8 eggs from our 15 hens. This is fine, though since I'm not able to cook. We've been giving our eggs to friends and folks from church who've dropped off meals for us. :)

That's a gorgeous sunrise!

What beautiful eggs! I remember when I was about 10 and I used to go with my grandparents to buy eggs...they went somewhere about an hour away, to a chicken farm to buy fresh eggs! Ahhhh....memories!
