Ringing In The New Year

In comes the new year with a case of walking pneumonia, antibiotics, a pneumonia shot in one arm, a flu shot in the other and a crummy cough that is making me crazy. I know my family is just loving the bark all night long. I packed away the tree decorations and began the process of taking down the other things.

But I still have this to do.

And this.

Blech! Then there is this big mess.

Here is Lucy with her new barn. She has been busy taking care of all of her animals so they don't freeze. Ignore the Wii Fit you see in the background.

I am.

I think I will join Lucy and maybe milk a cow or two.

You will do NO SUCH THING, Vonda!
Though I must admit that is like the cutest barn and even cuter farm girl. lol!

No, my poor sick friend...if I have to stay in bed, and ignore my Chistmas tree, lights and decorations (for months), then you can do the same. It won't hurt a thing to crawl back into your bed until you're feeling better. What's the hurry to get it all put away?
Is the Queen of England coming to visit you?
Well, so what, have her make you some tea and scones then. Hmmfph! lol!

Pneumonia is nothing to mess around with.

Take care of yourself and get lots of rest.
Get well, Vonda!

I'm with you Egghead...I'd rather milk the cows with Lucy too! Just got all my stuff put away today. Can't figure out how I got it all in it's place with room to spare this year...all neat. So unlike me! ;)
I'm sorry you are so sick! It's no wonder tho! Your weather sucked down there! That's where our daughter and her family "holed" up for their first nite coming home.
Hope you feel better soon!

That barn looks like such fun! I would have loved to have that when I was a child.
But hey, that Wii Fit looks sorta like fun, too!

Well...just posted a comment and it floated away in the internet ether never to be read again. Darn!

Just wanted to say how adorable Lucy is, how putting away is never quite as fun as getting out, and most importantly, wishing you a soon-to-be healthy and then happy 2009. Quite a way to ring in the new year!

The very best to you, Vonda.

I'm sorry to hear you're not well. Pneumonia is bad news and also very difficult to spell, so get rid of it quick.

They say animals are therapeutic, so I say go ahead and milk those cows!

Get to bed! The Farmer will do the rest;) Feel better. And I will ignore all Wii Fits in your honor.

I love, love, love the painting of the birds all sitting on the wire that is in one of your photos. It is delightful!

I do hope you are feeling much better soon. It is the best time of year to be ill - you can snuggle under blankets with hot drinks and not feel guilty about missing the beautiful day outside (like you might in the summer).

Just because you have walking pneumonia, doesn't mean you HAVE to walk around. I say take it easy and play with Lucy. The C'mas stuff isn't going anywhere.

Oh, I was told my a nurse that dark chocolate has properties that will quell a cough better than most over the counter cough medicines. We tried it, it works! The calories don't count because it's medicine. Plus, it's full of antioxidants!

Sis - ugh! Not a fun way to start the year! Very cool barn for Lucy - now, if I had a barn like that, I might just want to live in it. Then my children could say "yes" when I ask them if they were born in a barn!

Love you - get well soon!

P.S. Let me know if your Wii Wii gets fit!

I have been fighting a sinus condition and headaches all week, but nothing like your battle.
I will start taking down christmas today. It's a daunting task.

I still haven't taken down Christmas and no plans to yet and I'm not sick!

If my wishes could make you well, you'd be better already.

Hope you feel better quickly.

Oh my...go milk a few cows and play in the barn with that cute granddaughter of yours. Ignore the rest of the xmas stuff for now.

Feel better soon!

It so much fun to put the decorations up-but none to take them down! Sorry to hear you've been sick-hope you're on the mend!

Yes, do it....as long as the cows are toys, and you can enjoy some rest and relaxation with Lucy.

Take good care of yourself and get well soon!
