Silent Sunday

For nothing is fixed, forever and forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out.

I've caught up with reading your blog. Even though I haven't commented much lately, I always read your posts, sooner or later! Merry Christmas to you and your family. The little quilt your sister made you is perfect!

A very tranquil winter scene! It seems so still, but will change....as says the thoughtful paragraph. Wonderful post!

Your new header looks very nice! (Though I'll miss the other unique and adorable one.)

Christmas blessings to you and yours!

Meaningful quote Vonda. But one thing is fixed and forever...and sadly that one thing is death....

Your photo is just lovely,

Beautiful picture!! I'd never heard that quote before, it's very powerful.
I will give you a little giggle though, when I first saw the author, I thought "she's quoting a Baldwin brother!?". Then I read the quote and realized that it wasn't possible. I haven't had my coffee yet, can you tell?
